New Car Service in Park Holme

Engines that operate through internal combustion rely on large amounts of clean air to ensure the fuel burns properly and generates the power needed to drive the vehicle. At Graham West Workshops in Park Holme, we understand how vital it is to keep your car's air filter in good condition as part of protecting your engine's health. Your engine requires extremely clean air to function efficiently. Dirt, dust, and other particles entering the engine can cause serious damage. That’s where the air filter comes into play. It ensures the air entering the combustion chambers is clean, shielding key engine components such as the pistons and cylinders from wear and damage. Why Replace Your Air Filter? Save on Fuel Costs: Your engine requires the correct balance of fuel and air to run efficiently. A clogged air filter restricts airflow, causing your engine to run inefficiently – often referred to as ‘running rich.’ This not only puts additional stress on your engine but can also increase fuel consumption by up to 10%. No one likes spending more on petrol than necessary! Protect Your Engine: Over time, air filters become clogged and weaker, increasing the risk of damage. A damaged or overly dirty air filter can allow harmful particles to enter the engine, potentially leading to expensive repairs. Benefits of Replacing Your Air Filter: Extends the life of your engine Improves fuel efficiency Reduces vehicle emissions At Graham West Workshops, we always check the condition of your air filter during every full car service. Whether it’s a major or minor service, or one that follows your manufacturer’s handbook or logbook guidelines, you can trust us to keep your engine running smoothly.

Keep your engine healthy with clean air filters. Improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and extend engine life. Visit Graham West Workshops for expert maintenance and reliable car servicing.

Maximise Your Car's Performance with Expert Dyno Tuning at Graham West Workshops in Park Holme If you care about how your car really performs—how it pulls under load, responds on throttle, and delivers power across the rev range—then dyno tuning isn’t optional, it’s essential. At Graham West Workshops in Park Holme, we specialise in precision dyno tuning designed for drivers who expect more from their vehicles. Our workshop features advanced 4WD dyno capability, allowing accurate, repeatable results and real-world performance gains you can actually feel on the road. What is Dyno Tuning? Dyno tuning is a controlled, data-driven process used to optimise your engine’s performance. Using a dynamometer, we measure critical outputs like horsepower, torque, air-fuel ratios, and load response while simulating real driving conditions.

From there, we make fine adjustments to key parameters including fuel delivery, ignition timing, and air intake behaviour. The result is a calibrated engine that delivers power efficiently, safely, and exactly how you want it—whether that’s sharper throttle response, stronger towing performance, or maximum output. Precision Tuning. Real Gains. At Graham West Workshops, dyno tuning isn’t guesswork—it’s engineering. Our experienced technicians tailor every tune to suit your vehicle, driving style, and performance goals. Performance That Hits Hard Unlock hidden power with refined tuning that improves horsepower and torque across the rev range. Expect stronger acceleration, cleaner pull-through, and a more responsive driving experience. Smarter Towing Power If your vehicle works hard towing loads, a dyno tune can optimise torque delivery where you need it most. That means less strain, smoother power under load, and better overall control. Improved Fuel Efficiency Performance and efficiency aren’t mutually exclusive. With the right air-fuel balance and timing, your engine can run more efficiently—especially under steady load or highway driving conditions. Smoother Driveability Eliminate flat spots, hesitation, and rough idling. A properly tuned engine runs cleaner and smoother, giving you a more refined and predictable driving feel. Engine Reliability A safe, well-calibrated tune ensures your engine operates within optimal limits. That reduces unnecessary stress, helping extend engine life and maintain consistent performance over time. Track-Ready Racing Performance For drivers chasing serious performance, we can fine-tune your setup for track conditions—maximising output, improving response, and giving you the edge where it counts. Dyno Tuning FAQs Is dyno tuning only beneficial after performance modifications? No. Even a stock vehicle can benefit from dyno tuning. Manufacturers use conservative settings to suit global conditions—custom tuning refines these for Australian fuel quality, climate, and driving demands. Can dyno tuning expose hidden engine issues? Yes. During a dyno run, inconsistencies in air-fuel ratios, boost pressure, or ignition timing can reveal underlying problems that may not be noticeable in normal driving. How does heat affect dyno tuning results? Heat plays a major role in engine performance. Professional dyno tuning accounts for intake air temperatures and heat soak to ensure your tune remains stable and reliable in real-world conditions. Will dyno tuning change how my transmission behaves? In some cases, yes. Improved engine output can alter shift points and load behaviour, particularly in automatic vehicles. Proper tuning ensures the engine and transmission work in harmony. How often should a vehicle be re-tuned? Re-tuning is recommended after major modifications, changes in fuel type, or if performance starts to feel inconsistent. Regular checks can also ensure your tune remains optimal over time. Why Choose Graham West Workshops? At Graham West Workshops in Park Holme, we combine advanced dyno technology with real-world mechanical expertise. We don’t just chase numbers—we build reliable, usable performance tailored to your vehicle. Whether it’s a daily driver, weekend weapon, or workhorse, we deliver results you can trust every time you hit the throttle. Take control of your car’s performance.
